Ingredients
- ♡ 1 x pkt red egg dye powder (Red egg dye powder is available from Greek delicatessens)
- ♡ 1 Cup Water
- ♡ 12 eggs, at room temperature (not from the fridge they will crack)
- ♡ 80ml (1/3 cup) white vinegar
- ♡ Olive oil, to grease
Instructions
- ♥ Dissolve the dye in the warm water.
- ♥ Put the eggs in a pot (single layer) and fill the pot with water until covered.
- ♥ Add the dye to the pot and gently bring the boil.
- ♥ Add the vinegar and reduce heat and simmer gently for 8-10 minutes.
- ♥ Put a flat cooling rack in the sink, and using a slotted spoon remove the eggs and cool on the rack. The dye stains so be careful.
- ♥ When the eggs are completely cool, polish with the oil.
