Ingredients
- ♡ 1 Bunch (425g) Rhubarb, Trimmed, Cut Into 2cm Pieces
- ♡ 2 Granny Smith Apples, Peeled, Cored, sliced
- ♡ 2 Tbls Brown Sugar
- ♡ ¼ Cup Freshly Squeezed Orange Juice
- ♡ 1 Cup Self-Raising Flour
- ♡ 100g Butter, Chilled, Grated
- ♡ 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
- ♡ 100g Rolled Oats
Instructions
- ♥ Preheat oven to 180C fan-forced. Grease a 1.5-litre (6-cup-capacity) ovenproof dish.
- ♥ Combine rhubarb, apple, sugar, orange juice in a pot and bring to a simmer, stir 5 minutes or until the rhubarb starts to soften. Don’t worry if you over cook it all tastes great.
- ♥ Pour into the ovenproof dish and set aside.
- ♥ Combine flour and brown sugar in a large bowl. Add butter. Using your fingertips, rub butter into flour mixture until mixture resembles coarse breadcrumbs. Mix through the oats and sprinkle over rhubarb and apple mixture.
- ♥ Bake, uncovered, for 25 to 30 minutes or until crumble is golden brown. Serve with ice cream or custard!!
