“Doing time” with stay at home orders has seen motivation for exercise languish.  Days roll on, we muddle through our time with no end in sight…feeling aimless…empty…stagnant and listless…

How are you doing? A tough question to answer…Do we own up the truth? Or do we blanket our emotions for fear of sounding selfish? Do we “count our blessings” and feel guilty and ashamed with our lack of positivity…

“Positivity” is not what we need right now and it can be toxic if we start to feel hopeless to restore mental and physical health.

We don’t need the pressure of being productive in lockdown. We don’t need a project to keep us busy; we don’t need to learn a new language or reorganize our sock draw or bake bread. But if these things help you, then do them.

We also don’t need to feel embarrassed if all we can do is get through our day unmotivated. It’s normal to have negative emotions during a pandemic. However, daily exercise is essential to maintaining mental and physical health and it doesn’t require motivation.

It is well documented; the strongest factor in living with health and wellbeing is doing something that brings a sense of progress with small daily wins. That is; doing something measurable, consistent and achievable every day.

For example; setting a schedule for 9 minutes of exercise and then following through daily will give you is a huge sense of accomplishment and improve physical and mental health.

The body craves movement, the heart longs to beat, the breath yearns to express the feel-good joy of daily exercise.  Access your 9 Minute Fitness Program with the link below.
